Ready for Autumn with Barbour

10.03.2015 Whitstable, Kent, UK

There doesn't seem to be any better words  to describe Barbour than "quintessentially British". Somehow, they've successfully managed to maintain a timeless aesthetic since day one and they continue to provide some of the best outerwear for the UK's climate. I've maintained a love for the brand since I was in my teens and when I was approached to put a post together that featured them I was more than made up. With a whole host of classic styles and their diverse use of fabrics it took me a while to settle on just one item to work with...

... I opted for the classic Ashby Jacket, an item perfect for a capsule wardrobe with its endless styling possibilities. Constructed from Barbour's classic Sylkoil fabric and lined with the brands signature tartan, I felt this Jacket was synonymous of the brand and would slide into my wardrobe perfectly. It goes without saying, the jackets quality was second to none and I think with Barbour you can assure yourself what ever product you get your hands on will age well. With its extreme versatility, hosting all sorts of poppers and zips, I can't see myself getting bored of this item any time soon. When it came to footwear I rolled with the British theme. I felt it only suitable that I paired this jacket with my favourite pair of Grenson Brogues, something I'm trying to get out of the box more often.

If, like me, you've a slight obsession with coats and jackets head over to the Barbour website here to discover more about the brand. With more than just outerwear in their shop and their international collection housing some gems, take a look at their online store too and get your hands on some quality goods... Seriously think I've found my Autumn go to Jacket... what's your favourite style of Barbour?
